Join Michelin-star chef Martijn Kajuiter, CLIFF Executive Chef, at CLIFF Academy on Sunday May 21st for a taste of the season’s most delicious ingredients and tips on how best to use them in your own dishes. Chef Kajuiter will be focusing on the wonderful seasonal tastes of early summer with the backdrop of the stunning Cliff at Lyons in Celbridge.
Students on the day will learn the subtle differences in asparagus from tender Dutch white to the more familiar green variety as well as gathering plenty of inspiration to put the season’s most prominent ingredient to use. Enjoy classic asparagus cooking with ham, parsley potatoes and organic hen’s eggs, experiment with caramelisation and serve up asparagus with ice cream!
As it is also strawberry season, students will learn beautiful ways to compliment this naturally sweet fruit, pairing with flavours such as elderflower, trying dishes they can confidently recreate to wow friends and family.
This exclusive masterclass at CLIFF Academy takes place on Sunday 21st May from 11.30am-4.00pm and tickets €150.00 per person. There is also a reduced residential package available at Cliff at Lyons for an additional €170 B&B in a Lilypond Room for two people on the evening of the cooking event.
