McGuigan Wines launches McGuigan Frizzante

Award-winning Australian winery, McGuigan Wines, has launched its latest sparkling wine, McGuigan Frizzante to the Irish market. Introduced to the trade by Chief Winemaker Neil McGuigan, is a light style of sparkling with soft lemon and apple fruit characters.

The new sparkling wine is a reflection of McGuigan Wines’ philosophy, which is to create wines that reflect what consumers like to drink. Based on the current trend for Prosecco the time was just right for McGuigan Wines to create an Australian product in line with the rising demand, while continuing to produce other quality wines at reasonable prices.

Neil McGuigan three time winemaker of the year commented: “We are delighted to launch McGuigan Frizzante as a new addition to our sparkling wines portfolio. We wanted to create a high quality wine with an easy drinking style at the right price point, and the result of those efforts, McGuigan Frizzante, is a credit to our winemakers.

At the launch, in One Pico restaurant Dublin, was chef and Masterchef judge John Torode, who has partnered with Neil to create two wines; a classic Hunter Valley Semillon, and their latest Pinot Noir Rose.

This sparkling wine is made in the Prosecco style but from a far superior grape: Semillon, which has more palate length and flesh. Semillon gives you a mineral structure to balance the sweetness.

If you like Prosecco you will love Mc Guigan Frizzante!

Mc Guigan Frizzante is currently available from Supervalu. This will be in offer from 19th of May to the 8th of June €15 down to €10.
