This Slick New Seafood Restaurant Has Just Opened on South William Street

Seafood lovers – rejoice! There has never been a better time to celebrate the amazing seafood we are lucky to enjoy as an island nation, especially as South William Street is now home to a brand new restaurant showcasing the treasures of the deep.

Sole opened this week in the former Zaragoza premises, having undergone a complete refurbishment to create a luxurious eatery with a focus on serving the freshest seafood both from Ireland and further afield. Belfast-based designer Graham Barrow has created a stylish, modern and slick space centred around an eye-catching marble top seafood bar.

A sister restaurant of FIRE in the Mansion House, Sole’s menu has been developed by chef Richie Wilson to include classic dishes such as Black Sole Meuniere, Coquilles Saint Jacques and Fish Pie, as well as a seriously abundant Captain’s Platter packed with Howth lobster, crab toes, oysters and Roaring Bay mussels.

Sole also serves the prized Norwegian king crab in various delicious guises and is home to an extensive oyster bar serving both native and gigas oysters from around the country. Carnivores are also well catered to, with steaks dry-aged in house also making an appearance on the broad menu of tempting dishes.

If you love nothing more than a seafood platter and a chilled glass of vino, Sole needs to be on your must-visit list. For more information or to book visit www.sole.ie.
