It’s so difficult trying to plan what to do for New Year’s Eve the day or week before. So why not spare yourself the stress and let someone else throw the celebration for you.

From bars and restaurants to hotels and events, let your New Year’s Eve take care of itself. Below are a number of great New Year’s Eve packages to ensure you get your 2018 off to the best start possible.

Lemon & Duke

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Lemon & Duke in Dublin city centre. With doors opening from 8pm on the 31st, wave goodbye to 2017 with a glass of Prosecco or beer on arrival, followed by a DJ playing some great tunes from 9pm.

Limited tickets priced at €15 are available in Lemon & Duke, on Eventbrite and some tickets will be available at the door on the night.

The Liquor Rooms

Get the flavour of New Orleans’ most famous strip, Bourbon Street, at The Liquor Rooms this year. Imagine experiencing Mardi Gras in Dublin with a 6-piece brass band carnival procession, dancers, DJ beats and award-winning craft cocktails.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets are available on Eventbrite, with prices starting from €15.

The Shelbourne Hotel

Welcome 2018 in the magnificent surroundings of The Shelbourne Hotel and ensure your New Year gets off to the perfect start. Begin your evening with dinner in The Saddle Room Restaurant before moving to No. 27 Bar & Lounge to ring in the New Year.

The package, which includes breakfast, overnight accommodation in a Queen room and a 3-course dinner in The Saddle Room, is priced at €295 per person.

Clontarf Castle Hotel

Visit Clontarf Castle Hotel this New Year’s Eve for a special celebration with Irish Soprano Celine Byrne. Enjoy a glass of Champagne upon arrival at this magical event before sitting down to a 5-course gala dinner in the Great Hall.

Following dinner, you will enjoy an intimate concert with Celine Byrne and still get in the traditional midnight countdown with Champagne in hand, of course. Tickets are priced at €139 per person.

The Church Bar

Don’t make a holy show of yourself this year and head to The Church Bar this December 31st. With two three-course dinner sittings in the Gallery Restaurant on offer, as well as a Jazz Style dinner in the Cellar, you won’t be short of dining options.

From 11pm, the large tables will be dismantled to make room for dancing, and don’t forget to move up to the ground floor at midnight for the spectacular balloon drop to ring in the New Year.

The Merrion Hotel

Up your New Year’s Eve game with a 5-course celebratory dinner in The Garden Room at the luxurious 5-star Merrion Hotel, followed by entertainment provided by Swing Time. This package is priced at €120 per person and is a wonderful way to ring in the New Year.

For a less formal gathering, grab a table in the Cellar Bar and welcome 2018 with live music by the LR Project from 11pm. For more information and to make your reservation, please call +353 1 603 0630 or email dining@merrionhotel.com.

NYF Dublin

Taking place over two days, the spectacular New Year’s Eve festivities burst out of Dublin city’s iconic Custom House. Experience incredible performances from some of Ireland’s best known musical talents, including Kodaline.

Be sure to catch the Liffey Lights Midnight Moments night-time or matinee shows which focus on spectacular high-flying aerial and aquatic performers. Don’t forget to admire the lighting of The Spire at midnight!

Union Café

Kick off 2018 with a blast from the past. Union Café in Mount Merrion is serving a 3-course dinner from 5pm on December 31st for €34 per person. But the real treat comes later when The Guilty Party treat guests to all the classic hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

This is a great idea for a group of friends as all group bookings for six or more people will receive a bottle of Prosecco so you’ll have a bubbly entrance to the New Year.
