You Can Now Buy this Amazing Retro Irish Whiskey Vending Machine

Lately, we’ve heard all about “press for Champagne buttons” in high-end offices and Prosecco taps on hotel bathrooms, but in Ireland, innovative ways to get your glass full are not just exclusive to the Instagram age. The “Nightender” was a vending machine manufactured in the country since 1971 and available in selected Irish pubs, retail outlets and even offices.

It features two windows/whiskey compartments and originally, it would charge 30 cents for a measure of Jameson. It takes old Irish 10 pence coins but it also works with a key. The machine is electrically powered and features a smooth light oak finish.

You can see how it works in this video…

The Jameson Nightender can be yours for €795. An authentic piece it’s on sale by the Irish memorabilia and pub decor Rare Irish Stuff, who are based in Dublin but ship worldwide.

If you just want to see it in action, you can visit Dublin’s Irish Whiskey Museum where, as reported by IrishCentral.com, they have a working machine of their own for display.
