Paddy McKillen Jr just Received Permission for New Hotel and Pub in the Docklands

Paddy McKillen Jr and Matt Ryan’s property developing company Oakmount has received approval from Dublin City Council to develop a new hotel in Dublin’s Docklands area.

The building, a six-storey, 60 bedrooms hotel is  located at 82 North Wall Quay and it has been reportedly purchased for €5 million in 2015. A further €10 million investment is expected to go into the completion of the project.

The neighbouring property, a 19th century building originally purposed as a pub at 81 North Wall Quay has also been green-lighted for Oakmount to restore it and to bring it back to its original use, connecting the pub and the hotel, which will also feature a rooftop restaurant, a ground floor bar and restaurant a terrace area and a café.

This new hotel is expected to be open for business late in 2018.
