Italian Food Lovers Rejoice – Peroni Launches Gluten Free Restaurant Week

January is over, at last, and that alone is worth celebrating. If you made a resolution to go gluten free, Peroni Gluten Free is about to make sticking to your gluten free guns a whole lot easier this month.

The epitome of Italian style and craftsmanship, Peroni never fails to impress, previously bringing unique The House of Peroni pop-up events to Dublin in collaboration with top chefs like Mark Moriarty and Francesco Mazzei. This time, Peroni is teaming up with some of the country’s best restaurants to showcase just how delicious gluten free can be.

Launched last year, the gluten free variant of Italy’s most iconic beer caters both for coeliacs and for those choosing to lead a gluten free lifestyle and has been certified and endorsed by the Italian Coeliac Association.

Peroni’s dedicated Italian brew masters have perfected the special gluten free recipe, involving the use of enzymes to completely remove gluten molecules, without compromising on taste.

This carefully designed process is the result of years of intensive research and it ensures Peroni Nastro Azzurro Gluten Free is able to offer the same delicate balance of bitterness and zesty citrus aromatic notes, as well as the signature clean and refreshing finish Peroni Nastro Azzurro fans have come to love. Having tasted both, we can’t tell the difference!

To showcase just how good gluten free can be, Peroni will host a Gluten Free Restaurant Week from Monday 5th February to Sunday 11th February, with a number of Ireland’s leading restaurants creating a dish free from gluten for the week, to be served with a Peroni Gluten Free. Each special dish will be inspired by Italy and will be designed to complement Peroni’s Gluten Free beer, for a bespoke gluten free dining experience.

If you’re in Dublin, firm favourite The Exchequer will serve a rustic Braised Lamb Shank and the ever-popular Coppinger Row will offer a tempting Beetroot Risotto to enjoy alongside a complimentary bottle of Peroni Nastro Azzurro Gluten Free.

Slick and modern, Angelina’s and Roberta’s serve up Italian style dishes with plenty of flair and both will be offering a special gluten free dish for the week, along with other spots across the city including Sophie’s at The Dean, Lemon & Duke and The Bridge 1859.

Peroni Gluten Free will also sponsor a new Free From award at the Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards, which will take place in May.

The award will be presented to the establishment offering the best ‘free from’ options on their menu and whose presentation highlights the unique qualities of the ingredients used to craft dishes which prove free from gluten doesn’t mean free from flavour.
