Peroni Nastro Azzurro Hosts Launch of Audi Dublin International Film Festival Programme

Peroni Nastro Azzurro hosted a drinks reception for VIPs and invited guests at the programme launch of the Audi Dublin International Film Festival in Dublin bar, Whelan’s on Thursday, 28th January. The festival programme, which is book ended by highly anticipated Irish films Sing Street and Viva, was launched on the night by Sing Street actor, Kelly Thornton, and Nika McGuigan, star of Mammal.

Other guests at the reception included businesswoman and philanthropist, Danielle Ryan, actor Dylan Townsend, model Aoife Walsh, Love/Hate star, Kieran O’Reilly, milliner Martha Lynn, Sharon Greene from Queens of Neon, Sarah Williams from Arnotts, and members of the cast of Red Rock.

Party-goers sipped on complimentary ice cold Peroni Nastro Azzurro, whilst soaking up the atmosphere which was filled with excitement and anticipation for the festival ahead. The Audi Dublin International Film Festival’s 14th programme features more than 80 films from 27 countries across an 11 day celebration of film, from Thursday, 18th to Sunday, 28th February.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro has been announced as the Official Beverage Sponsor of the 2016 Audi Dublin International Film Festival. This new partnership will see Peroni Nastro Azzurro sponsor an Italian Film Night in The Lighthouse Cinema on Tuesday, 23rd February with special guest, Italian screen icon, Claudia Cardinale. Cardinale will be honoured on the night with a Volta Award for her lifetime achievement in cinema, and will take part in a public interview following the preview screening of her new film, Ultima Fermata.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro pays homage to Federico Fellini’s 1960s masterpiece, La Dolce Vita, in its stylish advertising campaign, which is currently running in cinemas throughout Ireland, and has previously hosted a series of immersive Italian film screenings in Dublin, called Cinema Peroni.
