One of the most exciting activities planned for this year’s Spanish Wine Week, held between the 24th to the 30th of April, has to be the Rias Baixas Wine and Tapas Trail. On the evening of Thursday the 27th of April, guests will have the opportunity to not just taste some of the best wines from this vibrant region, but to do so while taking part on a gastronomic tour with three delicious stops!
During the trail, we’ll talk about Rias Baixas and its flagship wine, Albarino, a refreshing and versatile wine for which Ireland has a huge appreciation: we’re consistently in the world’s top 10 biggest markets for it and our love for it is only getting bigger!
Besides tasting six bottles that will give you a comprehensive look at the different styles the region has to offer, the Rias Baixas Wine and Tapas Trail will see the glasses carefully paired with delicious tapas in each of the chosen locations. But far from being a masterclass, this interactive experience will be a relaxed and friendly soirée, ideal to meet new people and have a good time as you discover or revisit three restaurants with very different styles but a shared love for good wine.
The trail will begin at 6:00 pm and guests will get to enjoy the best food and wine in the following venues, all within a short stroll to each other:
The first stop is Klaw, one of the coolest spots for seafood lovers in Dublin. The freshest catch is served in a lively environment and the meeting point is ideal to start the evening with great energy!
Then we’ll move to Pichet, a recently refurbished award-wining bar and restaurant, famous for its mix of Irish and European flavours and its sleek surroundings.
Finally, we’ll end the evening at Citron, within the chic Fitzwilliam Hotel by St Stephens Green, where you’ll be treated to some of the best Rias Baixas wines available in Ireland.
The Rias Baixas Wine and Tapas Trail is organised in conjunction between Spanish Wine Week, TheTaste and Fab Food Trails, Irish Tourism Award winning company specialising in food and drink trails across Dublin and Cork.
