Happy Doggie Days! This Cupcake Event Taking Place Around Ireland Sounds Truly Pawmazing

There’s a very special date to mark on your calendars, as Dogs Trust will celebrate their first Pupcake Day on October 6th.

Encouraging the nation to get baking, the charity will be raising money to help change the lives of dogs all over Ireland, from the abandoned and neglected pups to helping them right through settling into their ‘Forever Homes’.

Getting involved in Ireland’s inaugural event is very easy. If you’re an avid baker and want to whip up a whole batch of beautiful buns, or if ready mix is more your thing, then do get baking for the dogs as every single Euro raised will go towards our life saving work.

Baker Catherine Leyden and her pup Gucci helped launch the Dogs Trust initiative in Herbert Park on September 10th. On the day, she said that “Holding a bake sale is a great way to get people together at home or in your workplace, while also raising money for a worthy cause.

“Dogs love baked treats too, there are some gorgeous dog friendly recipes included in the downloadable Pupcake Pack from Dogs Trust, so why not include human and doggy treats in your bake sale?”

Pupcake Day Dogs Trust

To host your fundraiser, register for a Pupcake Pack then pick a time and a date – October 6th is the official day, but you can hold yours anytime in October!

Remember to invite all of your dog lover friends, family, colleagues, and share your creations and photos of the day on social media using #pupcakeday.

And while you’re decorating those ooey-gooey chocolate brownies, why not create dog-friendly cakes too? Mixing peanut butter, apple, an egg and baking powder will produce the most delicious of cupcakes for all the dogs.
