Take a Bite of Local Flavour with Quay Bar Bites at The Lodge at Ashford Castle

Nestled on the banks of the beautiful Lough Corrib, inside the doors of The Lodge at Ashford Castle is one of Ireland hidden foodie gems, Quay Bar and Brasserie. In this intimate and informal setting Executive Chef Jonathan Keane has developed an imaginative twist on local food: Quay Bar Bites.

The idea behind Quay Bar Bites is to serve artisan, locally sourced tasting sized dishes, and showcase an evolution of traditional Irish cookery served in a casual and fun manner.

Quay Bar Bites’ concept is designed to offer the foodies of the world to the opportunity to try as many or as little tastes from the menu as they wish, switching from modern to traditional dishes at the turn of a heel – a fun, informal experience awaits you.

Looking to sample and savour more than a tempting teaser of Chef Jonathan’s cooking? For the gourmand, a fantastic fine dining experience awaits you at Wilde’s Restaurant, named after famous local Sir William Wilde, father of Oscar. Wilde’s has been awarded Best Emerging Irish Cuisine 2016 by the Restaurant Association of Ireland.

For the contemporary cuisine served both Quay Bar Bites and Wilde’s Restaurant Jonathan utilises the finest local produce such as seafood from the waters of Galway Bay and the Connemara coastline.

The Lodge at Ashford Castle sits within the magnificent 350 acre estate of Ashford Castle, County Mayo. Built in 1865, The Lodge is now part of the award-winning Red Carnation Hotel Collection, with a luxury country house appeal, elegant decor with a modern touch.
