Three Michelin Star chef Quique Dacosta was the first guest chef of Nacho & Friends 2016, a series of events and special dinners where world renowned chefs join forces with chef Nacho Manzano. The series of dining events is supported by the Spanish Tourist Office in London to promote Spain as one of the world’s leading culinary destinations.
Taking place in his Ibérica restaurants in London and Manchester, Nacho will bring a real flavour of Spain to both cities throughout the year. His first event with Quique focused on creative tapas, something the award winning chef is particularly known for.
The chefs spent several days cooking together and the first event was so successful that Quique hung up a fully-booked banner during the event. Those that missed out on the event can still smaple some of Quique’s signature style as the Ibérica restaurants in London, Manchester and Leeds will be offering a signature tapa by Quique, a Red Berries Gazpacho, throughout May.
While he was in London, Quique also visited the Westminster Kingsway College to host a show cooking event for teachers and students where he shared his wealth of experience. Quique Dacosta has recently opened the Enigma Restaurant in the Palazzo Versace Dubai Hotel and collaborated with Porcelanosa on a range of professionally inspired domestic kitchens.
His latest book offering ‘De Tapas con Quique Dacosta‘ contains over eighty recipes from his group of restaurants which includes Quique Dacosta Restaurante, the three Michelin starred eatery featured in the prestigious list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants published by The Restaurant Magazine. The chef from Extremadura also owns El Poblet (1*), Vuelve Carolina and Mercatbar restaurants in Valencia.
