Rachel Allen to Open Restaurant in Cork City

We all know Rachel Allen as a staple on our TV screens and a champion of West Cork produce which she is surrounded by in Ballymaloe Cookery school, where she was trained and continues to teach. Married to Darina Allen’s son Isaac, it was likely only a matter of time before Rachel explored the possibility of opening her own restaurant.

It has been reported that Rachel has acquired a large premises on Washington Street in the heart of Cork City, which will accommodate 130 diners with a private dining area seating 30 more.

Due to open early 2017, Rachel’s new venture will bring a taste of seafood from Ballycotton Bay and organic produce from Ballymaloe to Cork city.
