The team at Restaurant gigi’s is headed up by Cedric Bottarlini and together they present a wealth of delicious dishes inspired by local and Irish ingredients as well as the local landscape. The restaurant has been awarded 2 AA culinary Rosettes each year for the past 3 years and the team are passionate about food, striving for excellence in everything they do. Offering a selection of 4 menus daily, guests may choose the menu that best suits their occasion and budget; the Irish Steakhouse Corner includes mouth-watering locally sourced steaks from €26.00 or the Delight Menu has an option of 2 courses at €29.50 or 3 courses for €36.00. Foodies will opt for the Indulge Menu from €42.00 for 2 courses with the Sliced Peppered Sirloin Steak & Braised Rib a firm favourite along with the Line Caught Cod Medallions served with a Warm Sea Salad Composition of Shellfish, Seaweed & Cress, Lobster Foam and Saffron Potatoes. The Share Menu is perfect for a romantic night out at €49.50 per person sharing and a selection of tasting platters to share.
Restaurant gigi’s can be reserved for private corporate gatherings at lunch time, special occasions and family milestone celebrations. The Wine list has been created by Food & Beverage Manager, David Dillon, with over 15 years hands on experience including working in wine estates and WSET education of crafting the perfect wine experience for guests of the g Hotel & Spa. Children are very welcome in Restaurant gigi’s and they have a Children’s Menu with activity booklet available for their younger guests.
From the moment you step inside the g Hotel, one of the most luxurious hotels in Galway, you know that you are in a uniquely special place. The dark and intimate reception area sets the tone, with black glass walls acting as a frame for a tank of Connemara-bred seahorses and includes a bespoke concierge wall, covered in white Venetian plaster and reminiscent of a seashell, this is a hint of the surprises to come. You will also see over 200 twinkling mirrored lights in the white Grand Salon alluding to the bubbles in water and the shimmering silver wall tile feature is reminiscent of the patterns you see in sand and the ripples of the water. Even the guest rooms have been given the Philip Treacy touch with shell shaped door handles and light filled spaces. The g is a hotel which evokes Hollywood glamour along with a traditional warm Irish welcome.
Eyre Square is a 15 minute walk along College Road, passing the Connacht Rugby Sportsground or 20 minutes via the Lough Atalia road. The g Hotel & Spa just 10 minutes from the Galway Racecourse, home of the famous Galway horse racing festival each July.
3 Designer Lounges
Designed by the world renowned milliner, Philip Treacy, the g has three stunning Signature Lounges each unique in it’s own personality ensuring guests can relax in comfort and in style. From the calming Grand Salon adorned by 300 twinkling mirror balls which reflect the waters of Lough Atalia, to the distinctly ‘pink’ Ladies Lounge and the plush Blue Gentleman’s Lounge. Guests can sit back, relax, read a complimentary newspaper, enjoy complimentary WIFI and be looked after by the welcoming staff. The Signature Lounges are perfect for casual dining with food served from 11am – 10pm and a wide choice from g Bites to main-courses and tempting treats on the menu.
The Lounge menu is served all day with soup and sandwiches and hot dishes served between 11.00am-5.30pm and the evening menu is served from 5.30pm – 10.30pm.
The best Afternoon Tea in Galway! Why not escape to the luxury surroundings of the stunning Signature Lounges at the g where you can indulge in a truly delicious afternoon tea. Tantalise your taste buds with house made pastries, freshly baked fruit and plain scones with preserves, delicious open finger sandwiches and sweet bites, all gracing a three tier silver tea stand. This is complemented with tea and coffee for only €44 per 2 people sharing, or if you fancy a tipple, indulge yourself with a glass of Jacquart pink champagne for €59 for 2 people sharing. The g afternoon tea is served Monday to Friday from 3pm-6pm and Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 12pm-6pm.
Capturing the enchanting elegance of the hotel the wedding suite caters for both intimate and larger weddings welcoming weddings for up to 180 guests. The g Hotel & Spa is also an approved location for civil ceremonies.
