This Tuesday, August 22nd, Dublin city centre coffee shop Vice Coffee Inc. will host one of Belfast’s newest speciality coffee roasters and brew bars Root & Branch for a demo roasting, coffee cupping and discussion about the art and science of their craft.
On the evening, beginning at 7pm, co-founder of the Ormeau Road based roasters Simon will expertly take attendees on a whistle-stop tour through the magnificent history of coffee, and guests will get a chance to cup the new Root & Branch seasonal collection and chat with one of Ireland’s newest roasters on the scene.
Originally scheduled to take place in Two Boys Brew, who sadly are still undergoing building works at their Phibsboro cafe, true to the spirit of the Dublin coffee community Vice Coffee offered to take up the mantle.
The free event is part of Root & Branch’s Riding Roasting Tour around Ireland.
The first leg of the tour takes place in Belfast on August 21st at the new Ormeau Baths Innovation Hub, with entrance via Root & Branch from 7pm.
After Dublin the tour moves onto Soma Coffee Company in Cork and finally Coffeewerk + Press in Galway.
No plans tomorrow night? Bank balance a bit bare post holidays? This free event is a must for any coffee lover.
