Saba has been long known as one of the main go to places in Dublin for awesome cocktails as well as amazing food. No surprise then to learn their creative mixologist Karim Mehdi, has just been crowned winner of the Bacardi Legacy Ireland cocktail competition. Ten finalists competed for a chance to win the Irish round of the competition and Saba is delighted to announce that Karim was crowned the winner and will be heading to Sydney Australia to compete in the Bacardi Legacy World Finals in May.
The unique, flavoursome cocktail consists of Bacardi Superior, Chartreuse, lemon juice, orgeat syrup and a pinch of sea salt. Inspiration for the cocktail was drawn from the wonderful scents and flavours of Provence, where Karim spent his childhood years. The cocktail will be a new addition to the award winning Saba menu and priced at €10.50, this is one not to be missed!
Describing the win, Karim says,
“It is an honour to be representing Ireland in the global final in Australia and I hope that my cocktail, ‘Garrigue’ will become part of Bacardi’s incredible legacy. I look forward to serving it to our wonderful customers in Saba”.
To celebrate International Woman’s Day and Karim’s success, Saba is offering two “Garrigues” for the price of one on Sunday the 8th of March.
