How doesn’t like a ginnovation? Lately, we’ve seen a pineapple gin, a seaweed gin, a gin that was cursed by a professional witch, and even more magical, a hangover-free gin. And just when we thought we’ve seen it all, we spotted a sweet new creation: a salted caramel gin liqueur, made by the Poetic Licence Distillery in Sunderland and stocked at masterofmalt.com.
Poetic License Baked Apple & Salted Caramel Gin comes in a 50 cl bottle and it’s priced at €23.07. It has an ABV of 21% and it uses Poetic License Old Tom Gin as a base.
The product is described as “syrupy sweet throughout with a faint Himalayan sea salt bite. Apple strudels dominate the palate, followed by a succulent soft toffee finish.”
How to enjoy this luscious beauty? If you’re a minimalist with a sweet tooth, just sip it on the rocks, but if you fancy merging the joys of booze and dessert into the ultimate indulgence, how about pouring a generous drop of it into a creamy scoop of real vanilla ice cream?
You can even use it to craft syrups or flavour buttercream and other desserts!
