Savour Kilkenny will host its biggest festival yet this October bank holiday weekend (October 28th – 31st), celebrating a decade of delicious dining and demos in the Marble City.

They’re planning an even bigger festival this year, building on the huge success of 2015, which will feature fabulous food events, welcoming back the ever popular Savour Village- a foodie heaven with heaps of deliciously tempting food stalls, plus celebrity Chef cooking demos, talks, workshops, competitions, and unique dining events. Savour Kilkenny will also open its first Pop-Up Café and Bookshop at the festival this year where visitors can meet and have books signed by the authors.

Savour Kilkenny adds a fresh new twist to the festival with an enticing (and highly addictive) combo of gorgeous cocktails and side-splitting comedy! Savour Kilkenny are thrilled to welcome home Ireland’s own Stuart O’Keeffe, a well-known face on US television and star of Stuart’s Kitchen on TV3. Stuart will cook from his bestselling debut The Quick Six Fix, showing you how to prepare delicious meals in just six minutes, with only six ingredients and a six-minute clean-up!

The infamous dish from Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ has to be Beef Wellington. At Savour 2016 Edward Hayden & Anne Neary will prove that this traditional British dish is much better and even tastier when made using Irish Beef from Dawn Meats and The Premium Butcher.

You’re invited to take the Smithwicks Tour, here you can step inside and discover 300 years of craft, mystery and character behind Ireland’s most popular ale. There will be tutored tastings, unique food and drink pairings, all topped off with live music in the tasting bar.

CastleProfits from sales will go to an amazing charity Hospice Africa Uganda. Mag’s connection is that her sister, journalist Miriam Donohoe, has been working with the charity in Kampala as a volunteer since January 2016. The mission of Hospice Africa Uganda is to end pain and suffering faced by thousands in Africa due to poor health services.
