Shaken Not Stirred! The Second Annual Irish Cocktail Fest Takes Place This October

The second annual Irish Cocktail Fest, a 32 county celebration of cocktails made with Irish spirits, will take place this October 9th to 14th. Any bar, restaurant or hotel in Ireland or Northern Ireland may get involved and registration is free.

The entry criteria are a love for supporting Irish drinks products and commitment to showcase a cocktail made with one of the official Irish brands for the duration of the festival at the venue.

Great Irish Beverages is all about shining a light on the fantastic drinks being produced in Ireland along with the amazing bars and restaurants that are championing them.

As soon as the festival begins, the public may vote for their favourite cocktail by using the #BestIrishCocktail hashtag on twitter or by posting on their Facebook page. The winning venue can then lay claim to having the finest Irish Cocktail on the island of Ireland!

In addition to the nationwide promotion, all the Irish spirit brands involved in the festival are hosting a variety of individual events such as food pairings and cocktail classes.

To wrap up the festival there will be a closing party at Eastside Tavern on Leeson Street, Dublin 2 from 6 – 9 pm. For just €10 plus booking fee, ticket holders will be able to sample a host of different Irish spirits and enjoy a complimentary Irish cocktail made from a special menu.

Some of the premium Irish spirits taking part this year include, Shortcross Gin, Dingle Distillery Gin & Vodka, The Pogues Irish Whiskey, Mad March Hare Poitín and Writer’s Tears.
