Sparkling new drinks offerings await at WILDE at The Westbury this Spring

With a new range of delicious low- and non-alcohol wines and drinks to choose from, and the chance to participate in an exclusive wine-pairing dinner hosted by one of the world’s leading winemakers, guests at WILDE have a range of new ways to celebrate the start of Spring.

WILDE at The Westbury is renowned for leading the way in food and wine in Dublin, and to kickstart the arrival of spring, the stunning 1930s-style restaurant is offering guests a fresh new way to enjoy its outstanding selection of wines and beverages.

Head Sommelier Philip Dunne has built upon WILDE’s exquisite wine collection, updating it seasonally, and attracting wine connoisseurs from near and far to sample the expertly selected list of wines from around the world. This month, Dunne has extended WILDE’s drinks menu to include a beautiful range of low- and non- alcohol wines and beverages, offering guests a greater choice of delicious ways to toast their celebrations.

Alcohol-conscious diners can enjoy a glass of Leitz alcohol-free sparkling riesling or rosé – both delicious options for anyone watching their alcohol intake while looking for a special treat to pair with each course. For spring, guests can also sample the restaurant’s new range of sparkling teas. Organic low and non-alcohol teas developed by Danish sommelier Jacob Kocemba, are gaining popularity the world over as an alternative to standard alcoholic beverages. Light and refreshing, WILDE’s low-alcohol sparkling tea is 5% ABV, so an excellent choice to celebrate with friends over lunch or dinner.

Wine lovers are in for an extra-special treat this February, as Bruce Cakebread, chief winemaker and owner of Cakebread Cellars in Napa Valley, will be visiting The Westbury to host a WILDE exclusive winemaker dinner on Wednesday, February 5th (€125 per person). Founded in 1973, Cakebread Cellars, one of California’s iconic family-operated wineries, is certified green and one of a select few wineries with a full-time, in-house culinary department. This evening, the second in a series of wine-tasting dinners hosted by chief winemakers from the world’s leading châteaux, promises to be a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. Future winemaker dinners will run on April 14th (La Rioja Alta, Spain), April 30th (Gaia, Greece) and June 2nd (Chateau Montelena, Napa Valley).
