Statham’s Bar at Pembroke Kilkenny Shortlisted For Craft Cocktail Bar of The Year

Statham’s Bar and Restaurant in Kilkenny’s Pembroke Hotel has been shortlisted in the Irish Craft Cocktail Awards for Best Craft Cocktail Bar of the Year in Leinster.

Celebrating the skill, training and artistry of cocktail concoctions in Ireland, the awards are a nod to the best and brightest in the Irish Craft Cocktail Community.

Under the guidance of Master Mixologist Darren Geraghty, Pembroke Kilkenny has embraced the golden age of cocktails, which is brought to life by Bar Manager, Daithi Lane, and his team.

Darren’s mixology skills have earned him a collection of impressive accolades including The Bols All-Ireland Best Cocktail Experience 2012, International Bols ‘Around The World’ Bartender National Champion 2013, Beefeater 24 Global Bartender and the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge.

Speaking about the upcoming awards, Daithi Lane said: “We are delighted to be in the running for the Best Craft Cocktail Bar of the Year. Having relaunched Statham’s Bar and Restaurant earlier this year, our food and drinks menu has undergone a big transformation.”

He added: “Our Cocktail menu is key to this and our staff have invested a lot of time and hard work to ensure that our offering is one of the best in the City”.

Statham’s Bar and Restaurant is leading the way on the Kilkenny Cocktail Scene with their creative takes on both classic and modern cocktails. Signature cocktails include the ‘Ford Special Old Fashioned’, which pays homage to the iconic site of the former Statham’s Garage where Pembroke Kilkenny is now located.

Statham’s Bar, with its easy going and relaxed atmosphere, is a great place to meet, drink and dine in Kilkenny city. From brunch to Sunday lunch, to afternoon tea or all day dining with daily specials, Statham’s has something for everyone.

The 2017 Irish Craft Cocktail Awards will take place on Sunday 26th November at Number Twenty Two, South Anne’s Street, Dublin.
