One of Dublin’s most iconic venues is set to reopen this November following an extensive refurbishment. The ever-popular Café en Seine is reopening with some of Ireland’s top industry members on board.
Stephen Gibson, co-owner of Pichet, has officially been appointed as the Executive Head Chef of Café en Seine. Stephen will be bringing his wealth of experience and his understated approach to high-end casual dining to the newly redesigned venue.
Commenting on his appointment, Stephen said: “I’m delighted to be part of the team shaping the new Café en Seine. The menu is set to be a real crowd pleaser featuring simple, fun dishes that are great to share. There will be several different menus across the venue, each offering unique food options inspired by the individual dining space.”
The menu at Café en Seine will feature a Parisian-inspired indoor-outdoor secret garden with a retractable glass roof – ideal for those looking for an al fresco dining experience, even when the Irish weather takes a turn.
The refurbished venue will have several dining spaces from laid-back dining at the bar to the dining room. Guests can enjoy sharing plates of food served at the bar for an informal dining experience. For those looking for a more formal affair, they can dine in the specially designated restaurant.
Stephen added: “We know food tastes in Ireland are changing. We are creating a new dining experience in Dublin at Café en Seine. The combination of the food, drinks and service will be unique, meaning the customer will enjoy an atmosphere unlike anything else in the city.”
Another addition to the team is Bobby Lawn, formerly Operations and Restaurant Manager in Osteria Lucio. Bobby will be taking the role of Restaurant Manager at Café en Seine.
