Yesterday evening, Minister Michael Ring of Regional Economic Development officially launched the Tasty Tourism and Tours 2017 publication at Pygmalion Restaurant in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin City.

The brainchild of author and singer Ami Grady, Tasty Tourism and Tours is a proactive publication where culture lovers can enjoy warm welcome incentives from top tourist attractions as well as charming local locations, restaurants and tours. The book also includes recipes from The Happy Pear, Ballymaloe Cookery School, culinary author Domini Kemp and food expert Dylan McGrath from Rustic Stone.

The evening began with guests being welcomed with special taster plates from multiple Tasty Tourism participants on arrival with a warm welcome from Mary Larkin, Manager of the Powerscourt Centre. During the evening, Minister Michael Ring gave a delightful speech about how the publication will enable locals and tourists alike to discover more about Irish food culture and experiences all across Ireland.

Speaking on the event Mary Larkin said, “We are delighted to be part of the official launch of “Tasty Tourism and Tours 2017”. With the move towards a digital age, the charm of books within our Irish Heritage is important and to embrace communication at every level, to ensure an optimum wide reach to welcome everybody. “Tasty Tourism and Tours” embraces both the digital medium through online platforms while also sharing an undeniable strive for excellence in quality in print publications – embracing our stunning culture very uniquely with welcome gifts and recipes from all around Ireland. It is such a wonderful concept and unique way of sharing food and culture and we are thrilled to be a part of such a positive initiative.”
