Teeling Teams Up With Blacksheep Foods to Host a Whiskey Lover’s Dream Dinner

If whiskey is your elixir of life, the latest exciting event organised by Teeling Whiskey Company needs to be on your to-do list. On Monday October 16th Teeling will team up with Irish brand Blacksheep Foods at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for an exclusive evening of fine food paired with a selection of award-winning Teeling Whiskey.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to an autumnal Teeling Whiskey cocktail created by Teeling Whiskey mixologists. Teeling Whiskey’s ambassadors will take guests on a tour of the distillery in advance of dinner which will be served in The Alchemy Room at 7:30pm.

Guests will get to see the whiskey making process first hand, experiencing the smells, sights and sounds associated with the craft before sitting down with Alex Chasko, Teeling Whiskey’s Master Distiller, for a masterclass of food and whiskey pairing – who says wine is the only bedfellow for fine food?

The menu, which has been designed by BlackSheep Food’s Julianne Brogan and lovingly paired with Teeling Whiskey’s award winning portfolio by Alex Chasko, is set to be a feast for the senses. The meal will kick off with an inventive Miso and black sesame tuna with black quinoa, barley and avocado, paired with Teeling Whiskey’s flagship Small Batch.

The main course will feature pork belly with orange zest, star anise, shredded kale, red cabbage and parsnip puree, paired with Teeling Whiskey’s limited edition Calvados finished Single Malt, a favourite from The Revival Commemorative Series.

Adding the sweetest touch to an unforgettable evening, dessert will be a devilishly decadent dark chocolate budino topped with homemade cookie crumb, Small Batch soaked sponge, olive oil and Achill Island sea salt. This will be served alongside Teeling’s own multi-award winning Single Malt.

To finish the evening, a mini tartine bakery organic crostini topped with baked Durrus cheese and homemade seasonal jam will leave you with sweet memories. And what dinner wouldn’t be complete without a Teeling Whiskey’s signature Irish Coffee?
