The Teeling Whiskey Company has just announced the appointment of Kevin Hurley as Global Brand Ambassador for the company. Kevin has been working in the drinks industry in Ireland for over 15 years and brings a wealth of experience and creativity to this exciting role.
As Global Brand Ambassador for TWC, Kevin will be in charge of the overall promotion of the brand through education of the Teeling portfolio of multi award-winning Irish Whiskeys.
Kevin has worked in and managed some of Dublin’s finest cocktail establishments including The Liquor Rooms. Widely regarded as Ireland’s premier cocktail bar, The Liquor Rooms won numerous industry accolades while Kevin was at the helm and he paved the way for Irish mixology to gain the recognition it deserves on a global scale. Most notably, The Liquor Rooms was the only Irish bar to ever be nominated in the “Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards”, which are considered to be the world’s top authority on mixology.
More recently, Kevin was a co-founder of the hugely successful ‘Irish Craft Cocktail Awards’. The awards, first held in 2014, have been created for the benefit of the Irish cocktail industry by the cocktail industry. The awards aim to celebrate the skill, training, uniqueness and artistry of craft cocktail concoction in Ireland.

Founded by Jack Teeling in 2012, the Teeling Whiskey Company was set up to revive his family-old trademark of Irish whiskey and bring distilling back to Dublin, where Walter Teeling had a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the 18th century. The Teeling Whiskey Company is run by Jack together with his brother Stephen and, in May 2015, the Teeling Distillery will open its doors in Newmarket, Dublin 8. This will be the first new distillery in Dublin in 125 years.
