The House of Peroni Opens this Week Serving Up the Finest Italian Food and Drink

The House of Peroni

The House of Peroni opens its doors this Thursday, 19th May, bringing a delicious slice of authentic Italian food and drink to the denizens of Dublin, just in time for summer. Located at 1 Dame Lane, Dublin 2, the two-week residency features food by Michelin-starred chefs, Ross Lewis and Luciano Tona of Osteria Lucia, and Peroni Nastro Azzurro-infused cocktails by Federico Riezzo, the Dublin-based global brand ambassador for Peroni Nastro Azzurro.

The main bars at The House of Peroni are open to the public every night from 5pm serving a specially-designed menu of Italian cicchetti. A selection of four cicchetti costs €10 and includes cannolo with smoked aubergine, cod potato cake, polpetta (meatballs) and veal. Inspired by Amare L’Italia, the menu is drawn from different regional provinces in Italy, highlighting the wealth of colour and flavour in Italian food.

For drinks, Federico Riezzo has created a number of innovative infusions, while Peroni Nastro Azzurro will also be sold in bottles and on draught. The infusions are inspired by Italian ingredients, dishes and social habits, celebrating Federico’s own personal love of his home country. Highlights include the Peroni Spritz, which employs the ever-popular Aperol aperitif as its base, and the Peroni Neroni, an unusual twist on the Negroni cocktail. Federico’s version uses gin charcoal and squid ink, resulting in a striking black colour and savoury flavour.

A particular treat is the Amalfi, designed for those who want to cool down on the rooftop terrace. This infusion features a scoop of lemon sorbet in a glass, topped with limoncello, mandarin juice and a dash of orange liqueur, all balanced with Peroni Nastro Azzurro. The infusions cost from €9 each, while Piccola bottles are €4.20, Classico bottles €5.20 and a pint on draught is €6.

The House of Peroni opens at 1 Dame Lane, Dublin 2 from Thursday, 19th to Saturday, 21st May and from Wednesday, 25th to Saturday, 28th May. No admission fee to the main bar and no booking required. Over 18s only.
