Street Artist Timi Ogunyemi’s ‘Guinness in the City’ Exhibition Rocked Culture Night

Culture vultures flocked to St James Gate on Friday, 16th September as Guinness opened its gates to the public as part of Culture Night 2016. The national celebration of culture and creativity, saw Guinness collaborating with Timi Ogunyemi to create a collection of photographs inspired by Timi’s unique take on ‘Guinness in the City’.

As a street artist, Timi’s aim is to connect Dubliners to their city and showcase the creativity that exists around us. Over its 250 year history, Guinness has been stitched into the fabric of the city and in his collection, Timi documented the unique, creative and hidden gems, inspired by Guinness, around the streets of Dublin.

Timi’s S’ photo collection was displayed in The Open Gate Brewery, the home of experimentation and innovation at St. James’s Gate Brewery and as well as showcasing the photographs inside the gates of the Brewery the images were also projected on James’s Street, beside the ‘Guinness Power Station’ on Culture Night.
