Virgin Media’s The Restaurant Returns and Wants You to Take Part as a Diner

The hugely popular television series The Restaurant will return to our screens on Virgin Media this year and they are looking for foodies to take part as diners on the show.

Globally renowned chef Marco Pierre White and Rachel Allen will meet again in the Marco Pierre White Courtyard, Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, where they’ll be accompanied by a guest critic each week.

‘The Restaurant’ will see six celebrities become head chefs over the six weeks. They will be whisked off to Marco Pierre White’s Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, where they will attempt to produce a top-class three course menu. The menu will then be judged by the critic’s table where a possible five star rating will be up for grabs.

During service, the celebrities will get instant feedback in the kitchen on their menu from remote cameras and microphones covering the dining room. The identity of the celebrities will remain a secret to the diners and the critics until service is over, at which point the celebrity will step out of the kitchen and face the critics in front of the diners.

This year sees the hit TV show sponsored by O’Donnells Crisps, O’Brien’s Wine and TheTaste is delighted to be announced as the shows media partner.

Filming for the show will take place this March and April. Applications are now open for anyone interested in taking part. For your chance to take part in the show, please log on here.
