Overlooking the People’s Park in Limerick’s historic Georgian Quarter, No.1 Pery Square has launched an exciting new afternoon tea.
On Sunday 19th August enjoy an afternoon like nothing else, full of tasty treats mixed with literature, fashion and history.
This Victorian Afternoon Tea is a specially designed experience for those looking for an afternoon with a difference.
Beginning at 2pm this special afternoon tea will open with a welcome address by event Rose Servitova. Following this Sharon Slater, a historical expert, with thrill guests with scandalous stories about Limerick’s ‘Victorians and Vice’.
Limerick actor Myles Breen will be taking on the literary icon Oscar Wilde with a comedic spin while Customer and Heritage Expert Melissa Shiels will give a demonstration on ‘Dressing up for Tea’.
Nuala O’Connor will be reading from her exciting new novel ‘Becoming Belle’. This fascinating story is inspired by the real life of a Victorian dancer who became the Countess of Clancarty.
To top off this fantastic event all guests will be given a Victorian themed keepsake to remember the day.
