Nestled in the heart of the bustling Temple bar the Vintage Cocktail Club is somewhere you may have often walked passed and taken no notice. Behind the unassuming black door is one of the most unique and enjoyable venues in Dublin at the moment.
The retro homely decor is 70’s style down to a tee , even down to the light switches . With a relaxed and inviting atmosphere the VCC has all the makings of a fantastic night and that’s before you’ve even had a a chance to peruse the very extensive cocktail menu . Renowned for probably the best cocktails in town you are spoilt for choice . Regulars favourite the “Dirty Wizard ” certainly lives up to expectation. Although my own personal favourite would have to the “The Moscow Mule” served in a copper mug .
Although renowned for it’s award winning cocktails , the VCC also serves delicious plates of food to compliment any beverage . The Charcuterie Board for two with Cured meats, smoked salmon, whole grain mustard, plum chutney, mixed olives, cheese and mixed bread is a delicious snack to share and very reasonably priced at €13.However only a fool would pass a chance to sample the chicken wings with mustard and chipotle pepper glaze, ricotta cheese some of the best in town.
If you haven’t visited the famous black door then your missing out and if you have, well you’ll definitely be back.
