Dublin’s new Vintage Tea Tour bus promises to let you step back in time and experience Dublin in a unique way. Climb aboard the vintage 1961 Routemaster bus, named Pauline, and indulge in a little bit of nostalgia with afternoon tea delicacies, good company, and fabulous 1950’s jazz tunes.
The venture is the brain child of Karen Nixon and chef Donato Romano, who have devised a route takes in some of Dublin’s best known landmarks: Phoenix Park St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church, Wood Quay, O’Connell Street, Trinity College, Georgian Dublin, St. Stephens Green and many must see sights.
Chef Donato, mixes his Italian heritage and his background as a fine dining chef to bring you the most scrumptious afternoon tea classics. As bus driver Bob takes you on a spin around the city, you can nibble on delicate finger sandwiches, fruit scones with jam and cream and a selection of exquisite pastries and desserts.
