Today 16th of June marks the start of Dublin Pride 2017, a festival with a story that traces back to 40 years ago and in which the values of respect, inclusion, diversity and equality are celebrated. Everyone is welcomed and while the highlight of the festival is the famous Dublin’s LGBTQ Pride Parade on the closing day 24th of June, there are numerous activities across the city to commemorate, celebrate and enjoy.

Here is a round up of five of the best food and drink things to do during Dublin Pride 2017, from June 16th to the 24th.

18th JUNE – BOW LANE’S DRAG BRUNCH

On Sunday 18th of June from 3:00 pm, one of the most unique brunch experiences in Dublin comes back for a special Pride edition. Join fabulous Davina Devine, Dolly Grip and Sophia Harte as they reign on your parade. You can book a table for brunch or drop by for cocktails and to enjoy the show.

16th to 24th JUNE – RAINBOW COCKTAILS AT NOLITA

This sleek restaurant and bar has quickly become a must-experience for Dublin’s fun-seekers. Their rainbow range of Gin & Tonics, which debuted at their recent event YesLita (in celebration of the anniversary of the referendum for Gay marriage in Ireland) will offer an ideal way to toast to the occasion. 21st to 22nd JUNE – GIN & BEER TASTINGS AT STREET 66

This friendly live musical bar with a fun function room will be hosting gin tastings through the day. With over 20 different gins in stock, it’s a great spot for a summery G&T. They are also pouring a very special brew: their very own Purple Grain lager, made especially for Dublin LGBTQ Pride 2017.

24th JUNE – PRIDE DAY BRUNCH WITH VIVA

Popular Spanish restaurant Viva will be opening earlier on the date to offer a cheerful tapas brunch with special Pride day dishes and sweet treats as well as delicious Cava’s, Cava cocktails, beers and wines. Classic pop music hits will provide the soundtrack. They’ll be donating €1 from every brunch on the day to persecuted members of the LGBTQ community in Chechnya.
