1826 Adare Celebrates 3rd Birthday with Dinner by Guest Chef Paul Flynn

Award winning restaurant 1826 Adare is about to reach their third birthday. To celebrate the event they are throwing a birthday party on May 19th with a special appearance by guest chef Paul Flynn from The Tannery restaurant and guest house in Dungarvan.

The celebrations begin at 7.30 with raspberry and white peach birthday Bellinis and delicious canapés from Chef Wade Murphy including spiced pork scratchings with burnt apple purée, treacle-braised beef cheek croquette with Treaty Beer mustard and cured & marinated salmon with avocado & wasabi crème fraîche.

Paul has created a special four course menu for the occasion with seasonal Irish dishes like a wild garlic velouté with lobster cream, potato, lobster and spring onion fritter and Paul’s melt-in-the-mouth slow-cooked beef short rib with Vichy carrot and parsley shallot salad.

1826 Adare was opened in May 2013 by chef Wade and his restaurant manager wife Elaine. Their formidable partnership has made the restaurant one of the best in Limerick, and indeed the country. They provide fine food that focuses on freshness, simplicity and seasonality served in the quaint thatched cottage on the main street of the village.

Chef Paul Flynn and his wife and business partner Máire are another couple who have made an extraordinary impact on the Irish food scene with The Tannery. His presence at 1826 Adare’s birthday celebrations is quite fitting and a great opportunity to see two fine chefs and friends cooking together.

The celebratory tasting menu with Paul Flynn costs €55pp. For reservations call 061 396004 or email info@1826adare.ie.
