A Taste of West Cork will bring together a unique mix of food markets and demonstrations, cookery competitions, diners and more. The event, to be held between September 9 to 18, is a celebration of West Cork, its food, drink and other highlights of this unique region.
Yesterday 2nd of August at the official launch of the event, they announced the list of 18 guests chefs that will bring their flavours to the festival. Here’s the award-wining lineup: Derry Clarke, Rob Krawczyk, Joe McNamee, Catherine Fulvio, Eric Thezé, Leyle Hayes, Danni Barry, Rachel Allen, Louise Kelly, Ali Honour, Jessica Stutchbury, Francine Thurnheer, Takashi Miyazaki, Kevin O’Connell, Paola Vais, Matt Williamson, Chris Hedges, Martin Shanahan.
During the launch, at Kalbos Cafe in Skibereen, guest speaker Derry Clarke -Chef Patron of Award-winning restaurant L’Ecrivain- formally presented the lineup. Besides the aforementioned guests, A Taste of West Cork will feature food trails, workshops, historical tours and other activities destined to highlight the region’s culinary and cultural heritage.
