Alltech Craft Brews & Food Fair Praised for its Inclusive Approach

The highly anticipated Alltech Craft Brews & Food Fair (Alltech Brews) 2018 starts tomorrow Thursday 8th March 2018 and, along the best and most exciting in the craft beer scene, the event will debut its new “Distillers Quarter” which will serve the best craft spirits and cocktails created by leading mixologists.

Taking place between the 8th to the 10th of March at the conveniently located Convention Centre Dublin, the event coincides with International Women’s Day and the organisers have gone the extra mile to make the occasion inclusive and welcoming to all beer lovers.

Christina Wade, President and Founder of the Ladies Craft Beer Society of Ireland, praises the positive approach the festival has consistently taken. “I always look forward to going to Alltech Brews and Food Fair and this year is no different. Since the inception of the Ladies Craft Beer Society of Ireland, when we were only a hundred members or so, they have gone out of their way to include us every year.

Alltech has always been extremely supportive of our group and we always feel very welcome!

She points out that one of the ways the festival gets it right is addressing beer lovers in general without unwelcome segmenting. “Their marketing and the atmosphere of the festival also seems very inclusive- it certainly feels geared towards all people who enjoy craft beer”, she said.

And of course, it’s not just about the inviting approach but about the quality of the exhibitors and the organisation. “We go every year and are always excited to see the range of international breweries and beers that are not found in Ireland. It’s a great opportunity to try new things and also have a good chat with the brewers about their products. Our members love attending for this very reason and it is always a big hit!”

The Ladies Craft Beer Society of Ireland was founded in 2013 and since then has the mission of fostering “a community of women who appreciate craft beer, highlight the role of women within the industry, and host educational events to disseminate knowledge about beer and brewing.”

This year’s Alltech Craft Brews & Food Fair will also feature the Ha’penny Gin VIP Garden Party for the duration of the event. The area will have exclusive private seating, access to your own mixologist, tasty treats and of course lots of Ha’penny Gin! This spot will be a perfect place to celebrate International Women’s Day and try one of the finest new Irish gins out there. Tickets for the garden party are priced at €30 for two people and include two complimentary drinks and a range of gin flavoured cakes and treats.
