Cocktail lovers in Belfast have yet another reason to celebrate as Babel, a fabulous rooftop garden and bar is set to crown the Bullitt Hotel and officially launch to the public on October 21st.
The venue promises “stunning city views across Belfast, mouth-watering cocktails and sumptuous small plates” and it’s part of a £1.75 million (€€1.96 million) expansion of the trendy four-star. The opening arrives in time for the hotel’s first anniversary and it will feature a glamorous space for up to 250 guests.
Babel at the Bullitt Hotel will have an open-air terrace area and it will feature the city’s first “living wall”, created with over 300 plants including edible herbs which will be used in the cocktails both fresh and as part of artisan infusions. The bar’s green vibe will continue with a vertical exterior garden which can be seen from ground level.
It is expected to be Belfast’s biggest and prettiest rooftop bar and garden, and on winter nights, heaters and blankets will ensure the only thing cold are your cocktails.
While the drinks menu will be worth a visit on its own merit, Babel will also shine for the quality of its food. Dishes influenced by East and South Asian cuisines will take you to a gastronomic journey of intense and colourful dishes made to surprise.
The expansion will also include the addition of 31 new rooms to Bullitt, and it is expected that 30 new jobs will be created.
