Midweek Plans Sorted – This Meaty Extravaganza Paired with Irish Craft Beers is Unmissable

Festivals can be such unique experiences and there’s one barbecue feast in Cork that’s truly unmissable, complete with Irish craft beers and local whiskey. Holy Smoke presents Taste of Cork will take place on October 17 from 7pm-9pm, hosting a six-course evening of slowly cooked, pit-smoked BBQ with a distinctive twist.

With local meat from around the Rebel County, expect Holy Smoke’s signature barbecue-style dishes that have been cooked between 4-16 hours, alongside perfectly paired craft beers and whiskey tasting from Cork’s microbreweries. Attending, you’ll be guided by Holy Smoke founder John Relihan and head chef Decky Walsh, alongside renowned food writer Caroline Hennessy and let in on their secrets. Whether you’re with friends or family, or even a daring hot date, this BBQ experience will leave you both very satisfied but also more knowledgeable, as the restaurant’s pitmasters will proudly explain their unique tips & tricks into how they make each of their delicious dishes.

Allow yourself to be transported into culinary heaven on Little Hanover Street in Cork City by chowing down on flavoursome ribs or burgers (or both), surf & turf, and grilled corn on the cob, while sipping on well-matched Irish beers or corresponding whiskeys to make the most of this Taste of Cork adventure. With Caroline Hennessy and her expertise on hand, there’s no doubt you’ll enjoy exploring the tasty worlds or Irish microbrewed beers and whiskey.
