Café en Seine presents Women & Whiskey Volume 2

The Street Garden @ Café en Seine

Wednesday, March 11th 2020

Returning for a second edition, Café en Seine is thrilled to present Woman & Whiskey Volume 2 on Wednesday, March 11th. Once again a number of women who are leading the charge in the whiskey industry in Ireland have been invited to join a fun and frank panel discussion all while putting their respective distilleries in the spotlight.

This year’s fantastic guests include Caroline Martin, master distiller at Roe & Co. and who has spent the last 33 years working in the whiskey industry with Diageo. She’s passionate about sensory analysis and whisky flavour and has previously worked with Johnny Walker and J&B.

Joining Caroline on the panel is Bronagh Kelly, Vathouse Technician at Midleton Distillery. Bronagh kick-started her career on the Jameson Graduate Programme, working on innovation and New Product Development. She now plays a role in producing some of the worlds most enjoyed Irish whiskeys at Irish Distillers, ensuring mature spirits meets all criteria before bottling.

Lastly, joining the panel is Tracey Flinter, general manager at the beautiful Pearse Lyons Distillery in the heart of the Liberties. Tracey has been manager at one of Dublin’s newest distilleries since September 2017 and so far has welcomed 60,000 visitors from across the globe. Tracey was the European communications manager for global parent brand, Alltech before taking up the the position as general manager in the independently, family

owned distillery.

The evening will kick off with a bespoke welcome whiskey cocktail created by the Café en Seine team and this will be followed by a relaxed and interactive discussion with MC Seaneen Sullivan (Mistresses of Malt, L Mulligans Grocers, L Mulligans Whiskey Shop) about the careers of our panelists and the reason why whiskey is their spirit of choice. Guests will also get the chance to sample a whiskey brought by each of the panelists, throughout the discussion.

Tickets are on sale now for Women in Whiskey Volume 2 in the stunning street garden at Café en Seine and are just €25 each via Eventbrite.
