Cork’s most exciting and popular cocktail bar, Cask, is hotting things up this summer with a series of special Bar Takeovers.
Over the next three months, Cask will play host to some of the leading bars in the industry. Award-winning Callooh Callay will kick off the first of the takeovers on Wednesday 27th June.
The world famous cocktail bar from Shoreditch in London is managed by Dublin born Aaron Wall. Commenting on the event, Aaron said: “Cask is a bar that we are intrigued by and think we can draw a lot inspiration from. Andy and his team seem to really be forging a new path for the industry that I think needs to be acknowledged on a world stage.”
This exciting one-night-only event will give guests the chance to try some of Callooh Callay’s perfectly crafted signature drinks.
Delicious tipples on the night include the Sea of Trees, which is made with Lapsang Taqueray gin, Antica Formula vermouth, cacao and Pedro Ximenez sherry.
The fragrant Freyja’s Ice Tea sounds equally tempting and is crafted using Ketel One vodka, orgeat, cherry liqueur, lavender liqueur and topped with lemon and soda.
Andy Ferreira, Bar Manager and Chief Mixologist at Cask, said: “The amazing thing about Callooh Callay is its longevity at the top over over the last decade – that is what I find so inspiring and what we aspire to replicate here at Cask.”
Aaron will also be hosting a seminar on the day from 3pm – 5pm. The talk will allow young bartenders to hear from Aaron and pick up tips on how he and his team work and create the menus at Callooh Callay.
The seminar is a must for all passionate bartenders looking to get advice from some of the industry’s best known names. To book your place on Aaron’s insightful seminar, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org.
