Cork’s Newest Hotspot Launches Summer Menu in Style

The team at new boutique cocktail and food venue Cask Cork, on MacCurtain Street in the Victorian Quarter, Ireland, unveiled an exciting new summer cocktail and food menu with a summer soirée on Thursday the 25th of May.

Cask has become a Cork hotspot since opening in March 2017, garnering much praise for their innovative, seasonal, farm-to-glass cocktails, designed by manager and accomplished mixologist Andy Ferreira, and street food-inspired, small plates food menu created by award-winning head chef Bryan McCarthy. The food offering is being extended from the 1st of June to include a lunch menu which will be available from noon all week, Monday to Sunday.

Andy Ferreira, Bar Manager and Chief Mixologist at Cask Cork, said, “It’s an exciting time in the garden with the floral really kicking up a gear. We’ve had a lot of fun with the flavours in this cocktail menu and there is a little bit of everything for everyone. Our new cocktails are inspired by the flavours of spring and summer; rhubarb, elderflower, wild roses, sweet geranium, meadow sweet and lemon verbena.”

Head Chef Bryan McCarthy said, “Some new additions were also made to the food menu, and while the very popular Gubbeen Slider, Pork Belly Bao Bun and various Charcuterie Boards remain, there are some lovely summery additions such as Nordic Flat Breads and toppings, a plentiful Seafood Plate and a Chilli Beef with a sweet corn and black bean salsa, plus more.”

The outside courtyard area is prepared for an Irish, all-weather summer, with the arrival of a full canopy. It will be summer in Cask Cork come rain or sun. Visit www.caskcork.com for more information.
