Brown Thomas is launching a deliciously tempting Afternoon Tea experience in The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke to ring in the festive season. What better way to spend an afternoon than feasting on seasonal delights and terrific teas in the luxurious surroundings of Brown Thomas?
Kicking off on November 2nd, you can enjoy a mouth-watering Christmas inspired menu, full of modern twists on traditional festive flavours. Guests can indulge in a selection of Johnnie Cookes finest savoury treats, like slow roast Christmas Coronation Chicken with Indian spices & poached organic eggs with white asparagus, black truffle & parmesan cheese.
Sweet delights include Johnnie Cooke’s famous mince pies, which are also available to purchase for you to take home, Tarta de Santiago, a gluten-free almond cake and a take on a festive scone with cranberry & pecan served with Cooke’s Lambay Irish whiskey marmalade.
Alongside the unique culinary treats, the Johnnie Cooke team has collaborated with tea masters Teehaus Ronnefeldt, to create a selection of unique Christmas inspired teas. Guests can escape the cold and sip on a ‘Winter Surprise’ tea, which includes traditional flavours such as marzipan & cinnamon and the mulled wine fruit infusion.
It would be a shame to leave without trying a bespoke cocktail from the menu, created especially to complement the unique dishes (it is Christmas after all!). Cocktails include a Snowflake Martini blended with Tanqueray no TEN, vanilla, coconut cream, Zacapa 23 Hot Chocolate, a warming blend of Zacapa 23 Rum, Belgian chocolate and orange bitters and a Rosemary & Co. which includes Roe & Co Irish whiskey, rosemary syrup, quince jelly, maple syrup, orange juice and egg white.
