Forget Cheese And Wine – Here’s Where to Get Your Cheese And Bourbon Fix in Dublin This Christmas

Grilled cheese and bourbon? Talk about a fantastic festive combination and one that we’ll definitely need to indulge in over the Christmas period.

This month, Bulleit Bourbon is bringing its famed whiskey to the palates of Dublin with the introduction of an innovative, lip-smacking collaboration with Loose Canon, the latest cheesemongers on the scene.

Loose Canon has been open for just under half a year and has been a welcome addition to the Dublin scene, much to the delight of cheese lovers everywhere.

As part of this exciting collaboration, the chefs at Loose Canon developed an unapologetic grilled cheese menu befitting to the rich oaky taste of Bulleit Bourbon.

The menu is made up of three show stopping toasties and is available until the 5th of January at Loose Canon, 29 Drury Street Dublin 2.

So bite the bullet and try out the Bulleit Monte Cristo (€8.00), which is Bulleit Bourbon glazed smoked ham, 18-month coolea and house béchamel.

Or why not indulge in the Bulleit Grilled Cheese (€7.50), which is Bulleit chilli jelly, bourbon caramelised onions, Derg cheddar and Cais Dubh.

Last but not least, definitely sink your teeth into the Bulleit Bourbon, Bacon and Blue Cheese (€8.50), which is a Bulleit bacon jam, beetroot pickles and young buck blue cheese.

All sandwiches are served with a Bulleit sample in a take-home steel hip flask, while stocks last.

One customer a day will also be in with the chance of being gifted a Bulleit cocktail token with their sandwich, redeemable in Bison Bar for two Bulleit serves until early January.
