Ever wish you could recreate beautiful dishes you enjoy in restaurants? Well now you can and by learning from the best. The theme of each masterclass at Cliff at Lyons will be based on the produce available at that time, with classes led by Cliff Chefs Martijn Kajuiter, Nathan Dimond and Sean Smith as well as visiting chefs from the best restaurants around the country. The classes range from €60 to €150 per person and there is also a residential package available. An additional €170 B&B in a Lilypond Room for two people on the evening of the cooking event.
Cliff at Lyons is home to The Orangery restaurant, which is built around the abundance of produce grown on site and is housed in a breath-taking glasshouse surrounded by lush green gardens. It is a beautiful sight and gives off a rustic country charm. Their gardens and earthy greens are all important features of the dishes offered.
Chef Nathan Diamond maintains a strong relationship with the local suppliers of fish and meat to ensure the meny reflects the best ingredients the locality has to offer. The Orangery is open everyday for breakfast from 7.30am to 11am and dinner Wednesday to Saturday from 5.30pm to 10pm.
At Cliff at Lyons you can choose between a spacious apartment, a luxurious room or a cosy cottage. The apartments are ideal for a family or a honeymooning couple, are located in the main building and are equipped with a separate sitting room, kitchen and bathroom and shower.
Cliff at Lyons 40 rooms. Each room is individually designed and spread out in a number of different historic buildings. Irish tradition, old and new, has inspired the design of the rooms. The rooms include Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs and Nespresso coffee machines. Many of the rooms have opulent four-poster beds, with the flexibility to add extra beds for children.
The cottages immerse families and couples in rural Irish countryside living, while maintaining the services of a luxury hotel. There is a collection of six cottages containing 2 to 3 bedrooms. Each cottage has retained its character from the days of the 19th century Lyons Village.
For a picture perfect wedding, Cliff at Lyons is hard to beat. Seating up to 160 guests at a civil ceremony in The Mill, with a breathtaking waterfall as a backdrop, Cliff at Lyons offers a bespoke wedding experience unlike any other. Up to 80 wedding guests can stay on-site in suites and cottages and The Orangery Restaurant can also be converted to a ceremony space. While the guests wait drinks and canapés can be served in the 17th-century courtyard, on the lawn or in The Mill.
