Cono Sur Bicicleta Launches Limited Edition Labels to Celebrate the Tour de France

Cono Sur will release a limited edition of their iconic Cono Sur Bicicleta labels to celebrate their partnership with the planet: the Tour de France. The new Cono Sur bottles will reach the Irish market this June, each featuring new artwork exclusively commissioned by esteemed British artist Eliza Southwood. Her unique style was chosen as it matches perfectly the beauty, energy and elegance of cycling and the excitement of La Grande Boucle.

Cono Sur Bicicleta (Spanish for bicycle) is the winery’s most popular range and it’s named after the bicycles their workers use to get around the vineyards, helping to keep their carbon footprint low and their grapes at optimum quality. Cono Sur is committed to follow environmentally friendly practices, and it’s the world’s first carbon-neutral winery.

Pictured above is Irish cycling legend Seán Kelly with Cono Sur Chief Winemaker Adolfo Hurtado on St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin, where they celebrated the partnership in idiosyncratic fashion.

The Cono Sur Bicicleta wines are priced at €11.99 and are widely available nationwide.

ABOUT CONO SUR

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1993 with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines conveying the spirit of the New World.

Our name refers to the company’s geographic position; it represents wines proudly made in South America’s Southern Cone, on whose western edge lies Chile and its gifted wine valleys. Our logo also evokes a freehand drawing of the silhouette of South America.

Right from the start Cono Sur applied new ideas and technology to winemaking traditional methods. Our main goal, therefore, is to create expressive and innovative wines from the world’s southernmost land.
