Eggcellent at Making Omelettes? Enter Día e Day’s Omelette Competition to Win a Trip to Spain

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, look no further. This Saturday, the 24th of June is Spanish Cultural Day. To celebrate, the Spanish Cultural Institute will open its doors to host Día e Day. It will take place at Instituto Cervantes, Lincoln House, Dublin 2. It’s a free open day for all the family!

Día e Day will run from 10.30 am to 2:00 pm and is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning more about Spanish and Latin American culture. There will be many events to keep children and adults entertained. This event is a joint initiative between the Spanish Embassy in Dublin and other Embassies from Hispanic countries.

Omelette Comp

In the exhibition room there will be a Hispanic Food Fair, which gives people an insight into food from Argentina, Cuba, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Spain. For anyone interested in the Spanish language, there will be free classes held in the classrooms.

On the day there will also be a Spanish Omelette Competition. If you consider yourself as a omelette professional, make sure you enter. Bring all your tips and tricks to the table and you could be in with a chance to with a trip to Spain! The judging panel will include food writers and chefs and contestants will be judged on thickness, flavour, originality of presentation and seasoning.
