Discover Fermanagh this Summer – Fermanagh Set To Welcome Even More Visitors In 2019!

FERMANAGH Lakeland Tourism has announced that it expects to receive more visitors than ever from across Ireland in 2019, as it encourages holidaymakers to experience a range of events and activities that are taking place in the Lakeland county over the coming months.

Visitor numbers in Fermanagh have been steadily increasing year on year with ‘must see’ attractions such as Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail, Marble Arch Caves, and Belleek Pottery convincing more than 348,000 visitors to make the journey to the banks of the Erne in 2018.

Now, as Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism announces a new bumper Summer schedule made up of music festivals, relaxing getaways, and unique events at some of Fermanagh’s famous historic National Trust properties, Marketing Manager Tanya Cathcart believes 2019 will be the county’s biggest year yet:

“Co. Fermanagh is bursting at the seams with exciting things to see and do this summer, which is why we’re anticipating more holidaymakers than ever visiting the area for short breaks.

“The glorious weather we’ve been having recently is the perfect excuse to come and experience the wide range of historical attractions, outdoor activities, and hidden gems that make Fermanagh a truly unique destination!

Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism has unveiled a list of exciting experiences for holidaymakers to enjoy this Summer, with a range of new events designed for families to soak up the Lakeland atmosphere.

Belmore Court & Motel are encouraging travellers to ‘seize the summer’ and experience Fermanagh Lakeland’s breath-taking scenery, one-of-a-kind attractions, and heritage with 3 nights B&B from £56 per night until the end of August.

 

Florence Court has something for everyone over the summer months, from guided house tours to bike hire, Kitchen Garden activities, pond-dipping kits and even a Honey Show.  Stop off at the Visitor Centre and pick up a Tracker Pack for the little ones to explore the miles of trails leading up into the forest park, with hidden places ready to discover such as the 18th century Sawmill, Carpenter’s Shop, and Blacksmith’s Forge. On July 20, gather around the campfire for a night of Pop Up Camping under the stars of the beautiful Georgian mansion. Explore more of the estate each week from 2pm – 4pm during July and August with the Florence Court Ranger Team, as they take you on a guided walk around the estate.

Crom Estate on the shores of Upper Lough Erne plays host to a range of different events this Summer. Discover what lives and lurks around the estate during the Creatures of Crom tour every Thursday in July and August at 2.30pm. If it’s music you’re after, then be sure not to miss the Music by the Lake event on August 10.
