Dublin is a whole new world for one night only, and is now home to no less than ten Disney themed restaurants and two nightclubs. At 4 o’clock this morning, the magnificent Disney Magic Cruise Ship docked in Dublin and it is a sight to behold.
Costing a cool $400 million to build, this 84,000 tonne luxury liner is surely the ship of all our childhood dreams. The ship holds 2,700 passengers, 900 crew members and is fully decked out in Disney memorabilia, including a hanging statue of Goofy painting the ship’s logo.
Guests are treated to Broadway style shows like Tangled: The Musical in the Walt Disney Theatre, can put their feet up chilling on one of the eleven decks with Mickey Mouse or visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get a Disney Princess makeover!
On the dining front, guests can soak up Disney storytelling at Animator’s Palate, feast on a fusion of American and French fare at Lumiere’s or savour South American-inspired delicacies at Carioca’s, inspired by Disney’s classic film The Three Caballeros.
Disney Magic is currently docked at Dublin Port, so it can be admired from East Link bridge, but be warned, life envy of those lucky enough to be on board will surely ensue.
Unfortunately, by the time the clock strikes midnight, the magic will be over, as the ship is due to set sail again at 11pm tonight – this cruise is ultimate holiday goals and has us scheming our next trip already.
