Fresh from winning Best Gastro Pub in Ireland at the recent Irish Restaurant Awards, The Legal Eagle have added another prestigious award to their mantlepiece.

With this recognition, it’s clear that the wine offering at this Dublin premises is right up there with its food offering (read more about their food in our review here).

The Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence recognise restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.

Wine Manager at The Legal Eagle, Sean Gargano, works closely with owner Elaine Murphy and Executive Chef Ian Connolly to ensure that the wine list at The Legal Eagle is accessible to all customers, from those who know a thing or two about wine to those who just know they like it.

Speaking about the win, Elaine Murphy said: “We’re thrilled to win an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. It’s fantastic to have our dedication to wine be acknowledged so soon after our Best Gastro Pub win at the RAI Awards. It strengthens our ethos of loving wine without the over-blown reverence. We want our customers to enjoy great wine in a relaxed way, whether that’s a glass of something fun at the bar or an exceptional bottle with dinner.”
