Dublin to Open it’s First Cookie Shop

Ireland’s very first cookie shop is coming to Dublin on March 5th.

Brought to you by market favourite’s The Dublin Cookie Company, the shop and cafe will offer the full signature Dublin Cookie Company range including the classic Chocolate Chip, Sea Salted Caramel & Toasted Pecan cookies, White Chocolate & Cranberry and Oatmeal & Raisin cookies, as well as their cookie sandwiches in Carrot Cake and Banoffee flavours. They will also be selling jars of their cookie dough.

The classic combination of milk and cookies is not lost on The Dublin Cookie Company owners Jenny Synnott and Elaine Cohalan; they will be offering a range of milks to pair with their cookies, including flavoured and nut milks. If milk is not your beverage of choice they will be partnering with the Clement & Pekoe for their speciality tea range and with Coffee Culture for their locally roasted coffee.

Elaine and Jenny have dreamed about opening their very own cookie shop since they started their company in 2014. At the moment the pair are busy planning, drawing, brainstorming and designing their very own place right in the heart of the Liberties. After a few soft openings this week, the grand opening will be on March 5th at 12pm.

The Cookie Shop will open on 29 Thomas Street in the historic city quarter of The Liberties. A stone’s throw away from some of Dublin’s best historical and cultural spots such as Christchurch Cathedral, The National College of Art and Design, The Guinness Storehouse and Teeling Distillery, and innovation hotspots such as The Digital Hub and Guinness Enterprise Centre.

Their entire production facility, previously located in ‘Smithybatter’, will be moving on-site too. Cookie customers will be able to see the girls mixing, measuring, scooping and baking their crumbly creations, and if you’re lucky, they will still be warm from the oven when you visit.

Drop in, try a cookie and a cold glass of milk. One of life’s great simple pleasures!
