Join Some of Ireland’s Top Chefs for Tea and Talks as They Recreate Historic Tea Party

The most famous Irish tea party is set to be re-enacted at the Kennedy Homestead in Dunganstown, Co. Wexford during the annual Kennedy Summer School on the afternoon of Friday September 8th.

The event will see some of Ireland’s biggest names, Paul Kelly, Executive Pastry Chef at the Merrion Hotel and judge on the hit TV show ‘The Great Irish Bake Off’ and popular TV Chef Kevin Dundon join forces with Mike O’Conor,Assistant Head of the School of Culinary Arts & Food Technology at DIT and Margaret Roche, Head Chef at Hugo’s Restaurant on Merrion Row, to create a delicious array of baked treats to celebrate the historical Dunganstown Tea Party.

In addition to this memorable tea party with expertly crafted baked treats, the Kennedy Summer School is set to host a number of expert discussions and is billed as ‘A Festival of Irish and American, History, Politics and Culture’. There will be close to 40 guest speakers participating over three days on a wide range of different subjects.

There will be a series of public interviews including an audience with RTE U.S. correspondent, Caitriona Perry, along with a host of members of the Oireachtas including Regina Doherty TD, Mary Lou McDonald TD, Joan Burton TD and Lisa Chambers TD will speak alongside familiar faces Niall “Bressie” Breslin and Ryan Tubridy and many more.
